Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown (DLR) Sports Partnership was honoured to meet with H.E. Ms. Sharon Ho, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ireland, during a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin.
Representing DLR Sports Partnership were Shane McArdle, Sports Coordinator, and Ciaran Casey, ESF+ Social Innovation in Sport Officer, who met with Ambassador Ho to discuss shared interests and potential opportunities for collaboration through sport.
The meeting focused on exploring ways in which sport can be used as a platform to strengthen community engagement, promote social inclusion, and foster cultural exchange between Ireland and Malaysia. Discussions included potential partnership opportunities that could support participation in sport and physical activity while enhancing intercultural understanding within local communities.
Speaking following the meeting, representatives from DLR Sports Partnership welcomed the opportunity to engage with Ambassador Ho and highlighted the important role sport can play in bringing people together across different backgrounds and cultures.
DLR Sports Partnership looks forward to continuing discussions and exploring future initiatives that can deliver positive social and community benefits through sport.
