

DLR Her Outdoors Hiking Yogis
Dlr Sports Partnership , The Dublin Mountain Partnership are delighted to bring Hiking Yogis on Monday 10th of August at 6:30 – 9:30 PM, in Ticknock to celebrate DLR Her Outdoors week. To encourage more women to try an new activity in the outdoors.
Her Outdoors Hiking Yogis offers a unique and invigorating hiking experience that combines the beauty of nature, the physicality of hiking, and the calming practice of yoga & mindfulness. Our guided hike takes you through Ticknock where you can connect with the outdoors and yourself. Along the way our experienced yoga teacher will lead you through standing yoga poses and mindfulness exercises, allowing you to find balance and serenity amidst the beautiful scenery. As the hike concludes , you will have the opportunity to watch the sun go down on Ticknock. Join us in embracing the outdoors, elevating your practice, and finding inner peace amidst the beauty of nature.
Meeting point: Ticknock Map Board in upper carpark at 6:30PM

Distance: 5.5 km approximately
Degree of difficulty: Moderate.
Bring: Warm clothes, raingear & water (no need for a yoga mat)
Description: This will be an easy paced hike along the Fairy Castle Walking Loop in Ticknock. This is a moderate walk due to the incline and the route surfaces which are a mix of gravel forest roads and gravel walking trails. If the evening is clear there will be stunning views to Dublin Bay, the Dublin Mountains and the Wicklow Mountains
Note – No dogs allowed on this walk
If you have never been to Ticknock before, please check the route before you set out. Note the road through the carpark operates on a one-way system with parking to the side, the meeting point is more that 500m from the entrance.
