History Walk along The Metals to the Peoples Park in Dun Laoghaire. Open to all ages and abilities.
Join local historian Rob Goodbody for an inclusive, accessible and engaging history walk. Suitable for ages 14+ and open to all abilities.
We will meet at the Victoria Fountain in Dún Laoghaire on Sunday 12 July at 3:00 PM. The walk will be relaxed and easy-paced, with stops along the route to explore key historical points, finishing at the People’s Park. This section will take approximately 30–45 minutes.
Participants who wish to continue can join an extended walk along the scenic East Pier, offering stunning coastal views.
Whether you’re easing into physical activity or simply looking to enjoy a gentle, history-filled stroll, this walk is for you.
Rob Goodbody will lead the walk, supported by staff to ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all.
