Family Fun Kayaking – Coastival 2026

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is delighted to partner with Dlr Sports Partnership and the Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School (INSS) to celebrate Coastival 2026 with a fun-filled Family Kayaking Session.

Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School, West Pier, Dún Laoghaire
Sunday, 5th July
11:00 – 13:30 (please arrive 15 minutes early)

Cost: €5:00 per person

Join us for an exciting and enjoyable time on the water! INSS instructors will lead the session and include fun games and challenges to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Kayak booking Information:
We have a mix of single and double kayaks available so the whole family can get involved:All equipment will be provided by the INSS, including kayaks, wetsuits, and life jackets.

• 20 single kayaks
• 12 double kayaks

To help you choose the right option:

• All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
• Children under 11 must share a double kayak with an adult (please book a double kayak)
• Young people aged 12–18 can paddle a single kayak (please book a single kayak)

What to Bring:

• Shorts or swimwear (to wear under your wetsuit)
• Towel
• Old runners or footwear you don’t mind getting wet
