Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership are delighted to announce that they will be delivering a FREE* bespoke Communications For Sports Clubs training course that will be open to all local clubs in October and November 2024. This will be the first time this volunteer training will be delivered and is planned to be both hugely valuable and also enjoyable for those selected to take part.
Targeted at volunteers in clubs that are either currently in the role of Communications Officer or thinking of moving into this position in the near future, this course is designed to assist in the day-to-day delivery of this role and also provide valuable tools and knowledge to maximise awareness.
This Communications For Sports Clubs course has been developed to provide training for clubs to develop a cohesive, professional online presence, improve internal messaging, attract new members and volunteers, secure funding through sponsorship and manage these activities over the long term. Key aims of the programme will be the long-term sustainability of club marketing as volunteers transition in and out of their roles, the range of sizes/needs of clubs, participants with varying abilities and experience in the area and a focus on supporting targeted areas of disadvantage across DLR.
Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership are delighted to be in a position to offer this course to 18 club volunteers in 2024. With sessions delivered by experts in the field of communications and marketing, this will be a blended course with two in person and three online sessions over a total of 12 hours.
