Training Workshops

DLR Sports Partnership delivers several inclusive training and education workshops. All our workshops are designed to equip participants with the knowledge, competence, and skills necessary to include people with disabilities in sport and physical activity.

Here is a list of disability training courses we hold:

  • Sport Inclusion Disability Awareness Workshop – a 1.5 hour online work shop which is designed to build awareness around people with disabilities participating in community sport and physical activity. On completion of the course all attendees will receive an Active Disability Ireland Certificate of Participation endorsed by Sport Ireland.
  • Autism in Sport Workshop – this 2.5-hour online workshop will provide attendees with an understanding of Autism focussing on the delivery of sport. It will help participants to recognise and understand key areas of difference as well as looking at practical strategies which will help to include people with autism in sport sessions.
  • Disability Inclusion Training – This 2.5-hour workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and ideas on how to adapt and modify your sport, physical activity or physical education sessions to make them more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities.
  • Vision Sport Awareness Workshop – Vision Sports Awareness Training is designed to educate coaches, volunteers and teachers on Vision Impairment and how small adaptations to sport and physical activity sessions can make a huge difference to the experience of the participant with a vision impairment.
  • LÁMH – A  workshop for coaches, volunteers and others supporting Lámh users involved in sports, sports clubs and sports summer camps.
