Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown sports Partnership aids the continous development of all the clubs that are located within the County. From the large and established club to the newly founded and inexperienced club, there is opportunities for all to develop and improve their clubs situation.
DLR Sports Partnership aids the clubs of the County by providing information in relevant areas, offering education programmes to improve the knowledge of the clubs and their members and implements programmes which provide adequate assistance to help the clubs grow and develop.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership works to promote participation, inclusion and coordination in sport at a local level. To support this work the Sports Forum has been established to represent all of the various sports clubs in the area.
Every sports club based in the County can nominate three individuals (one main nominee with two additional nominees) to represent it on the Sports Forum where members tackle issues of mutual interest, discover methods of overcoming issues and identifying best practice. This group allows for better communication between clubs and act as a coordinated voice for local level sports clubs in the County. In addition three individuals are nominated by this group to sit on the Board of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership.
DLR Sports Partnership offers various grants throughout the year. However, many of these are not fixed in date and amount and are only advertised through the Sports Partnership. Keep an eye on the “Grants” section of our website for further details.
