SUMMARY:Vision Sports Awareness Training
DESCRIPTION:A 1.5 hour Online Workshop in Vision Sports Awareness Training\, designed to educate coaches\, volunteers and teachers on Vision Impairment \n\n\n\n\nTutored by Vision Sports Ireland\, this Vision Sports Awareness Training is designed to educate coaches\, volunteers and teachers on Vision Impairment and how small adaptations to sport and physical activity sessions can make a huge difference to the experience of the participant with a vision impairment. \nOver the 1.5 hours\, attendees will learn about the various types of Vision Impairment\, basic techniques of sighted guide training and the importance of description and colour contrast when delivering a session. \nExamples will be presented of various Blind and Vision Impaired sports and adapted equipment available. Attendees will also be informed of the various programmes available through Vision Sports Ireland. Vision Sports Awareness Training has been endorsed by Sport Ireland Coaching. \nThis course is suitable for people over the age of 16 years. \nON LINE INFORMATION \nThis on line course will take place using Zoom video and audio conferencing service. If you do not have a Zoom account please download the free app from the internet prior to the course using the following address www.zoom.us . Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership will send you the link to the zoom meeting a few days prior to the course date for security reasons along with all the course material.
