DLR Sports Partnership Sports First Aid Course

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership runs Sports First Aid Courses to assist Sports Clubs in the county to provide a safe environment for those participating in sport.

On completion of this course, participants will be certified in emergency response training and be able to provide necessary first aid while awaiting the arrival of the emergency services. First Aid is an essential skill to have particularly when you are dealing with physical or sporting activities.

The course will cover the following areas in Sports First Aid:

  • Accident scene management
  • Patient assessment
  • Respiratory emergencies
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Head injuries and unconsciousness
  • Fractures and injury to bones
  • Burns, scalds and electric shock

We deliver two public Sports First Aid courses per year. These are in person on Saturdays between 10am and 5pm. Keep an eye on our What’s On Page.
