Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s Community Awards highlight the activities, excellent work and projects of community and voluntary groups within the county area.  These awards afford the Council an opportunity to acknowledge the valuable contribution these groups provide in the community. The Council is now inviting applications for community awards from groups.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and the National Yacht Club are set to welcome home silver medal hero Annalise Murphy to a homecoming event on Thursday 25th August at 6pm in the People’s Park.

DLRCOCOThe DLR Grant Scheme provides financial assistance to individuals, groups and organisations engaged in projects, events or developments for the community and business organisations within Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County. The scheme funds a diverse range of initiatives from Events, Sports and Heritage to Community, Arts and Business.

BEACTIVE graphicThe European Week of Sport is an initiative of the European Commission to promote sport and physical activity across Europe. 2016 will mark the second edition of the Week. Building on the success of the first edition, the European Week of Sport will continue generating new activities and also building on already existing successful ones. The overarching campaign theme remains “#BeActive”, and should encourage everyone to be active during the Week but also to stay active all year long.
